Breakfast was really good. Everything cooked just right. Service was good. Although after we had finished our meal we noticed the cook did not have a hair net or gloves on. Sorry to say we may not be back. Interesting decor though.

We have been going to Elkton’s Grub and Gab Diner for 2 years now. Found this place last year heard about it from a staff at the Blue Elk Coffee Shop which is around the corner from them. Whenever we are visiting Massenutten we try to make it in for breakfast. The food is delicious and the staff are very nice and attentive. Seems like a very popular place for the locals it’s a small town. This time we went to the diner it felt like eyes were on us from some of the locals kinda made us feel uncomfortable. Once again the staff is friendly and food is good.

They have buckwheat pancakes! Yummy! Haven't had any in several years. They are hard to find. I also had the biscuits and gravy. For breakfast dessert () I had a piece of coconut cream pie. Excellent place to stop!

Wow!! If we had a place like this in michigan we would be there every day. Despite them being slammed when we were there our food came out quickly. Omeltte was great and the mac was creamy. My guy got a hamburger/fries and finished up with a slice of pie. And dont get me started on my biscut! Service was awesome!! Our waitress great and the cook (who was a one woman show) walked over from the open kitchen to check on our experience. She seemed like a whirlwind that doesnt stop and I mean that as a huge compliment!!!

Alright, alright ... I knew when we pulled up this place was gonna be fire ... the coffee was fantastic, the hospitality wonderful, the food amazing and the atmosphere memorable like a throwback in time. I needed that while passing through ... highly recommended. Get the sausage gravy over cornbread ... you won't be sorry. Grab side of home fries while you're at it ... then finish it off with the peanut butter pie. Thank me in your future review. :)

Great small town diner! Great food and prices. Friendly staff. The atmosphere was wonderful with upbeat country music and burlap sacks for curtains. What a great way to start your day!

A wonderful little diner in the heart of Elkton. Good food and great service. The only knock is the price. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, a side of potatoes, gravy w/1 Biscuit, and we both had sweet tea and coffee. Tab was $42 before gratuity . Comparatively, the diner right down the road has essentially the same food (good too) but the same meal only costed right around 30 bucks

After browsing through several online reviews of various local diners in the Elkton to Harrisonburg area, we opted to give Elkton's 'Grub & Gab Diner' a visit. This decision resulted in a wonderful dining experience. The 'Grub & Gab Diner' gives you a small hometown vibe where everybody knows everybody from the moment you enter the quaint little diner with seating for approximately 30-35 customers (estimated). We were promptly greeted and told to have a seat wherever we'd like and almost immediately approached for our drink order. Although I was disappointed to learn they serve pepsi products, I opted for the unsweetened tea which was made in house and very good. I also ordered the Dilly Burger with french fries, which were made to order. As you can see in the photos, I received a generous portion of crinkle cut fries to accompany the delicious Dilly Burger. The pepper jack cheese, cayenne pepper, & jalapeno peppers give this burger a bit of a kick while managing to not overpower the flavor of the beef and other toppings. It was simply an unexpected delight and while I really wanted another, after finishing it and the fries I knew I didn't have room for a second burger. However I did order a slice of Coconut Pie which was a nice way to wrap up this meal. I wish there was a clone of Elkton's 'Grub & Gab Diner' in my hometown because I would be a regular customer. You should give them a try if you find yourself nearby.
